The Presidency of Romania to the EU Council was a success

Prime Minister Viorica Dancilă declared today that the presidency of Romania to the EU Council was a success, this being carried out in a complex and dynamic context marked by the European elections, but also by the developments related to Brexit. “It was a successful mandate in which Romania proved to be strongly attached to the European values ​​and acted to strengthen the European project, for a Union of our citizens, our freedoms, our efforts and our conjugated capacities.

“We have promoted cohesion between the Member States, between regions and communities, between citizens. We have acted in the belief that the EU can progress in the spirit of the founding ideas of the European project, just maintaining cohesion and overcoming the gap between Member States in all their forms of expression. A strong Europe respects the rights of all citizens and no one is left behind, ” added Viorica Dăncilă.

“The Presidency of the EU Council has had a great significance for Romania, which has led to significant results. The Romanian Government has made sustained effort in these six months.
