Serbia, the ‘good neighbor’ as Romanians often refer to the neighboring country, helps Romania in fighting the pandemic. Once again, Serbia proves to be one of the closest friends Romania has in the region.
Serbia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Selaković, sent off to Romania a donation on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Serbia. The donation consists of medicines for the treatment of patients with the Covid-19 virus and oxygen.
The Covid situation in Romania is disturbing. The daily number of cases exceeds 16,000, but more worrying is the daily number of deaths, which regularly exceeds 400. This made Serbia, along with other countries, send the medication and oxygen in an attempt to save lives.
There is humanitarian aid in the trucks, in the first place in medicine and oxygen, which our Romanian neighbors desperately need. We are convinced that this help will save many human lives
Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Niola Selaković
Minister Selaković wrote on the shipment in Romanian: “Serbia is with brotherly Romania in the most difficult moments”, and Romanian Ambassador to Serbia, Mrs. Silvia Davidoiu, wrote in Serbian – “Thank you”.
