Romanian PM to Present Economy Relaunch Program on July 1

Romanian PM Ludovic Orban finally made the announcement waited by the Romanian entrepreneurs. On July 1 he will present the relaunching program of the Romanian economy.

The Romanian Government was criticized by the Opposition for not presenting this program until now, though it was announced back in April. Also, the Romanian president was criticized for saying that the Romanian economy doesn’t need to be relaunched, as it has never been stopped.

The situation of the Romanian entrepreneurs is particularly difficult and most of them are disappointed by the fact that the political right, who was supposed to protect their interest, has failed to do so during the pandemic lock down. At the moment, hundreds of thousands of employees have already lost their jobs, especially in the hospitality industry, and tens of thousands SMEs are turning to banks for financing their businesses, with little success.

The Romanian program for helping small and medium enterprises finance their business, IMM Invest, has failed so far to efficiently help the entrepreneurs. Meanwhile, the Romanian Government has promised it would come up with a plan for relaunching the economy, but, apart from promises, nothing specific so far.

The only hope remaining for the entrepreneurs is the economy relaunch program, which is to include the European funds to be allotted to Romania for overcoming this difficult period.
