Romanian IT Industry is Booming

According to recent news, the Romanian IT industry has just reached epic levels of profitability, while the past seven years have been rich in development. It is said that employers working in IT can bring in considerable sums of money, around 60,000 € per year. This is excellent news for the Romanian economy and the peak of its growth in the last decade. The Romanian IT field is a booming industry and a chance for economic growth.

 Bucharest is the lead in this respect on the Romanian IT market, while Cluj is in the second rank.

Economic studies have shown impressive numbers and optimistic perspectives for the future, denoting the IT industry as one of the strongest pillars of the Romanian economy. Once an economic branch grows, the number of employers has the same tendency, enriching this field with 8000 – 9000 new people, most of them being fresh graduates of the IT Romanian faculties.

Despite the positive news, Romanians have a different feeling, considering the market is still tiny and weak, leaking in real professionals available in their country, good salaries or qualitative devices, internships and the applicability of the knowledge gained in faculty to the actual activity. Romanian authorities are in a never-ending run for IT programmers, trying to keep up with the new challenges and even fearing that there will not be enough employees.

However, career opportunities reveal the constant need for professionals, especially after the growth of the cyber-attacks generated by the tumultuous Ukrainian context.
