This year, Christmas occurs in the world of collectible jewelry and royal gifts. Spectacular women’s fashion accessories are up for auction next week, on December 20 and 21. The auction that Artmark organizes on the occasion of the holidays, two profile auctions dedicated to gifts: iconic luxury jewelry signed by famous designers, vintage pieces of the type “Buy now, Wear forever,” and the great fashion houses of France, completed by a selection extraordinary Lalique perfumes, meet in the auctions organized on Wednesday and Thursday, from 19:00.
Wednesday brings online access to dozens of luxury precious jewels, with prices to suit any budget, from €100 to €25,000. The exceptional pendant brooch in red gold is a vintage appearance, set with three diamonds, approx. 1900. Located in the original box, the piece is currently priced at 700 euros. A few decades later, another piece de resistance was made: a rose-shaped brooch in two-tone gold and platinum decorated with diamonds, around 1960.
Tennis bracelets and necklaces top off the contemporary jewelry chapter. Registering the highest starting price in Wednesday’s auction, 25,000 euros, a valuable tennis necklace in white gold decorated with 88 diamonds stands out.
Emeralds make a spectacular fusion with diamonds in three exceptional lots, including a complete set of earrings, pendants and rings, estimated between 8,000 and 12,000 euros. Another auction treasure is a superb gold ring, centrally decorated with a large emerald, surrounded by 48 diamonds, which starts at 15,000 euros.
The most affordable piece of jewelry in Wednesday’s timed online auction is a silver ring decorated with topaz and multi-coloured tourmalines at just 100 euros.
Next, Thursday’s auction features designer jewelry, such as the much-coveted Cartier Love bracelet in gold, which has gained global must-have status, or the iconic Van Cleef & Arpels four-leaf clover Alhambra model, launched in 1968 – present in the auction from 1,500 euros.
During Thursday’s auction at Palatul Cesianu-Racoviță, the collection of jewels is doubled by a selection of ladies’ watches, which demand admiration and good taste. Among the world’s most celebrated watch brands, Patek Philippe is up for auction with a 1975 white gold, diamond-studded watch with a starting price of €8,000, while the list price is almost double that in the profile market.
The elegance collection is complemented by the French sophistication of fashion houses Hermès, Christian Dior, Chanel and Lanvin, present in the auction with a selection of designer purses, scarves and gloves – royal accessories that cannot be missing from a clothing collection.
A rare appearance is the selection of Lalique perfumes – bearing the stamp of the extraordinary creations of the famous René Lalique, the genius of jewelry and crystal design from the Art Nouveau era – who revolutionized the design of perfume bottles. An example in the auction is the Deux Cœurs perfume, the limited edition dedicated to the eternity of shared destinies, from 2004, which can represent a perfect gift for the person you love. The perfume has a starting price in the auction of 900 euros. The 20th-anniversary edition launched in 2012 – Lalique, Sillage, is an essential specimen of the brand’s history.
The variety of the offer recommends the two auctions next week as an ideal marketplace for luxury gifts. The A10 by Artmark Auction House also offers the opportunity to try on the jewelry in the exhibition at the Cesianu-Racoviță Palace.
