Romania Wins Four Medals at the International Informatics Olympiad in Alexandria, Egypt

Romania won four medals at the International Informatics Olympiad, held in Alexandria, Egypt, between September 1 and 8, 2024.

The Romanian students obtained one gold medal, two silver medals and one bronze medal, as follows:

๐Ÿฅˆ ๐๐„๐‚๐”๐‹๐€๐” ๐‘๐š๐ซ๐ž๐ฌฬฆ-๐€๐ง๐๐ซ๐ž๐ข, “Vasile Alecsandri” National College, Galati – Silver
๐ŸฅˆIORGULESCU Andrei Paul, “Tudor Vianu” National College of Informatics, Bucharest – Silver
๐Ÿฅ‰๐“๐”๐ƒ๐Ž๐’๐„ ๐‘๐š๐ซ๐ž๐ฌฬฆ-๐…๐ž๐ฅ๐ข๐ฑ, International Theoretical High School of Informatics, Bucharest – Bronze

The team leaders were the representatives of the Society for Excellence and Performance in Computing:

This result brings Romania to 8th place in the world (2nd place in Europe) at this edition, showing the continuity in the performance of Romanian computer science in this discipline, which is fiercely competitive at the global level.
