Romania Wins Four Medals at the International Informatics Olympiad in Alexandria, Egypt

Romania won four medals at the International Informatics Olympiad, held in Alexandria, Egypt, between September 1 and 8, 2024.

The Romanian students obtained one gold medal, two silver medals and one bronze medal, as follows:

🥈 𝐍𝐄𝐂𝐔𝐋𝐀𝐔 𝐑𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐬̦-𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐢, “Vasile Alecsandri” National College, Galati – Silver
🥈IORGULESCU Andrei Paul, “Tudor Vianu” National College of Informatics, Bucharest – Silver
🥉𝐓𝐔𝐃𝐎𝐒𝐄 𝐑𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐬̦-𝐅𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐱, International Theoretical High School of Informatics, Bucharest – Bronze

The team leaders were the representatives of the Society for Excellence and Performance in Computing:

This result brings Romania to 8th place in the world (2nd place in Europe) at this edition, showing the continuity in the performance of Romanian computer science in this discipline, which is fiercely competitive at the global level.
