Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky thanks Romania for all its support, especially the military. Also, Zelenskiy thanks President Klaus Johannis for supporting Ukraine’s accession to the European Union.

I am grateful to Romania for its significant contribution to the defense capabilities of our country. I thank Klaus Iohannis for his support for Ukraine’s accession to the European Union. We feel the political and defense support of our partners.

Romania is one of the top countries to help the Ukrainian refugees. More than 50,000 fleeing the war had already entered Romania, half of them remaining in the country.
The support offered to the refugees by the Romanian individuals, companies, and authorities is simply excellent, and everybody wants to bring their own little or significant contribution to help with this vast humanitarian crisis.
Following the Ukrainian-Russia war, Romania has shown great support and solidarity towards Ukrania and its refugees. From medical assistance and treatment for the wounded soldiers in Ukraine to ammunition and ballistic protection equipment donation to the Government of Ukraine, Romania is supporting the Ukrainian cause.
