Top Festivals in Romania in Summer 2021

The coronavirus pandemic had a significant impact on the entertainment business. Budgets had to be actualized, events had to be postponed, conversations with sponsors had to be resumed, and last but not least, restrictive measures had to be taken into consideration.

Despite the worries generated by the delta variant, festivals are coming back to Romania after a long period. People are excited about the concerts that will take place in Romania in August and September. Fans from all around the world will gather to enjoy music and good vibes.

This year, Romanian authorities allowed the long-awaited festivals to take place. These events will provide their fans positive energy which will last for weeks. You will remember all the people you meet there and the great music you have heard. You will have a rush of adrenaline when you see your favorite musician of a band playing, and the vibes that the crowd will carry will give you enough strength to enjoy the festival.

Festivals in Romania August – September 2021

Electric Castle Festival will take place between 6-15 August at Bánffy Castle in Bonțida village, Cluj. You will experience a powerful festival feeling. Some of the artists that will come to this festival are Alternosfera, Aurora, CTC, Coma, Golan, Irina Rimes, Nane, and The Blaze.

Summer Well Festival takes place between 12-15 August 2021, in Buftea, in Stirbei Park. The Stirbey Domain is located in Buftea, 15 km away from Bucharest. It is one of the most beautiful and well-preserved aristocratic domains around Bucharest and it proved to be the perfect location for Summer Well. Some of the artists that will perform at this festival are Woodkid, Balthasar, Valeria, The Kryptonite Sparks, Bucharest Symphony Orchestra.

Untold Festival takes place between 9-12 September in Cluj-Napoca. As it has been before, Untold festival has 4 stages: Main stage, Galaxy stage, Alchemy stage, and Fortune. The list of artists that will perform at the festival includes Afrojack, Martin Garrix, Steve Aoki, Tyga, The Script, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike.

Saga festival takes place between 10-12 September in Bucharest, in Izvor Park. Set in the heart of Bucharest, you are invited to join for an innovative new three-day festival experience with the biggest names in electronic music. The artist’s list includes Alan Walker, Clean Bandit, Nervo, Regard, Don Diablo, Salvatore Gannaci, and more others.

Access to the festival is only permitted to:

– persons vaccinated against SARS-COV-2 with 10 days elapsed since completion of the vaccination scheme – this must be demonstrated with a certificate and ID card
– persons who present a negative RT-PCR test – not older than 72 hours
– persons who present a negative fast antigen test – not older than 24 hours
– persons who present a medical document attesting to the SARS-CoV-2 infection issued 15-180 days before.
