The Romanian governing coalition is over

Since The Alliance of Liberals and Democrats has decided to leave the governing coalition, Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă said that all the members from the Social Democrat Party will remain in the government and “all those from ALDE and Pro Romania will have the courage to take on this process” are welcomed, as well.

“The Social Democrat Party will remain in the government of the country and with us will come all those from ALDE and Pro Romania who have the courage to undertake this process, who understand that the flight of responsibility and cowardice will never take Romania further. Beyond the goals and electoral calculations of a small group, it is important not to disappoint the citizens who gave us the vote and confidence in 2016. ” wrote Viorica Dăncilă on Facebook.

ALDE ministers are expected to resign from the Government tomorrow, even though social-democrats say it is possible for some ministers to deny this. Călin Popescu Tariceanu’s party has four ministries: Foreign, Energy, Environment and Relations with Parliament.
