Maia Sandu said she accepted the invitation of her Russian counterpart Dmitri Medvedev to visit Moscow in September. “At the beginning of September, the foreign minister will go to Moscow. My visit will take place immediately after that,” said the Moldovan Prime Minister.
“We plan to discuss trade issues, the stay of Moldovan citizens in Russia, the Transnistrian issue, finding out about the Russian army in the region, fighting against money laundering and collaborating in the search for money stolen during the previous government,” said Maia Sandu.
During the meeting with his Russian counterpart, the issue of Russian gas will also be addressed: “For us it is important to discuss also the supply of natural gas and the pricing policy, especially for next year.” said Maia Sandu.
