The European Union has detected a potential cyber attack against its embassy in Moscow, an EU spokesman said on Wednesday, according to a Buzzfeed news site.
We have seen potential signs of compromising the systems connected to the public network of our delegation in Moscow,” the spokesman said.
Buzzfeed reported on Wednesday that a “sophisticated cyber spying event” was discovered in April and information was stolen. The attack began in February 2017, according to the site quoted
The EU official said an investigation is ongoing, without providing further details. Member States have been informed of this cyber attack.
