Andrew and Tristan Tate are in the custody of the Romanian Police and are to appear in front of a judge who will decide their extradition to the United Kingdom.
According to information from sources, these accusations refer to facts of a sexual nature in a file of the prosecutors from Great Britain.
On March 11 of this year, around 23:15, the police officers of the Criminal Investigation Service, of the Special Actions Service and local police officers implemented two European arrest warrants, issued by the judicial authorities in Great Britain, for the commission of sexual crimes, exploitation of persons on the territory of Great Britain.
Romanian Police on Tate brothers being arrested again
Allegedly, four women had filed a civil action against the brothers, the alleged crimes being committed between 2013 and 2016 when the brothers were still living in the UK. The complaints mention bodily injury and psychological damage caused by the alleged violent sexual and physical assaults, as well as coercive control.
The two men were presented to the prosecutor from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Bucharest Court of Appeal, who ordered the detention measure for 24 hours.
The Tate brothers were arrested in December 2022 and spent three months in police custody and under arrest.
In March last year, the court decided to replace the measure of preventive arrest for the Tate brothers and for the two accomplices, Georgiana Naghel and former police officer Alexandra-Luana Radu, with house arrest for 30 days, from 31.03.2023, until 29.04.2023, inclusive.
