Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Recommends Citizens to Leave Lebanon

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) reminds Romanian citizens of security risks for the integrity of citizens, with the firm recommendation to avoid any travel due to the security situation that risks deteriorating unpredictably, affecting the availability of commercial flights and travel routes, showing the warning on the institution’s page.

MAE recommends that Romanian citizens already in the Lebanese Republic responsibly evaluate the possibility of leaving this state as long as commercial flights and exit routes are available.

It is strongly recommended that the southern areas of the Republic be left immediately. Lebanese (region south of the Litani River), given the recent armed clashes in the Lebanese-Israeli border area.

At the same time, the MAE strongly recommends that Romanian citizens in the Lebanese Republic register their presence at the Romanian Embassy in Beirut.
