Romania is to accept 30 000 foreign workers as the working crisis amplifies in the country. There is a million workers deficit on the labour market in Romania and the Romanian Government intends to increase the limit of the foreign workers accepted from 20 000 to 30 000.
This is a measure which modifies the existing Government Ordinance by increasing the number of foreign workers for whom there will be issued working permits. So far, according to the Romanian statistics, 13 000 foreign workers applied for working permits in the first 6 months of 2019, and the numbers show an increase of both demand and the offers on the labour market.
Most of the recent incoming foreign workers in Romania are Nepalese, Vietnamese and other Asian nationalities alike, for whom the salaries from Romania seem very attractive.
