Dwellers from Musashino, Japan, Support Romania at the Olympic Games

Spectators are not allowed at the Tokyo Olympics due to the state of emergency measures. The state of emergency is declared in Tokyo, as the Metropolitan Government reports almost 1,000 new COVID-19 cases a day.

This is the context in which a Japanese city called Musashino, located in the Western part of the metropolitan area of Tokyo metropolis, with a population of 147,000 decided to support Romania.

Why Romania?

It is because Musashino is twinned with Brasov, a city in the heart of Romania, for 25 years. Musashino dwellers want to pay their respect to the Romanian sportsmen and to offer their support in this way.

The residents of Musashino made a very nice gesture that impressed Romanians. They have created a video to encourage Romanian athletes and wish them success in the Olympic competition.

Romania takes part in the Olympics with 101 Romanian athletes at 17 sports disciplines, which are – athletics, the women’s basketball team 3×3, boxing, rowing, cycling, football, artistic gymnastics, swimming, canoe sprint, judo, wrestling, fencing, tennis, table tennis, sports shooting, archery, and triathlon from 22 July to 8 August.

A nice gesture from Musashino city dwellers that deserves to be admired.

Thank you, Musashino people! Our hearts go for you as well!
