As reported by Simple Flying, Romania’s Dan Air behind Airbus A320 flights on June 1st. Previously known as Just Us Air, Dan Air has 18 scheduled routes. The name comes from Captain Dan Luhas, who set up Just Us Air, a wet lease and charter operator.
According to ch-aviation.com, Dan Air has two A320s and one A319, with a third A320 coming. It has an average fleet age of 15.6 years. It appears that its A320s will be used on its scheduled flights.
Dan Air has 18 routes bookable: 11 from Romania’s capital, Bucharest, and seven from Brasov. Brasov-Ghimbav is a new airport that is set to open in June, serving the country’s sixth most populous city. While it is not yet fully definite, it appears the IATA code will be BRV, previously used by Germany’s Bremerhaven.
According to the source mentioned above, Dan Air’s inaugural flight is due to leave Bucharest for Nuremberg on June 1st. JOC101 is scheduled to depart at 06:00, and JOC102 is expected to return at 16:40.
