Tourists spent 40 million Euros in the Romanian winter resorts during New Year’s Eve vacation. It is a record for the tourism industry, as it is a budget with 8.5% more than in 2018/2019.
Also, the number of tourists who spent their New Year’s Eve vacation in the Romanian winter resorts grew with 4.5% compared to last year, reaching 166,000 tourists.
It means that, on average, each tourist spent 240 Euros during this winter vacation in the mountain resorts, which is an affordable budget for the Romanian middle class. Meanwhile, we have to admit this is a real bargain for the foreign tourists came to spent their winter holidays in the Romanian mountains.
The hotel owners still wait foreign tourists in the days to come, as thousands of tourists from Moldova and Ukraine are pouring down the Romanian winter resorts for spending their Old Orthodox Christmas holiday, starting from this weekend.
