TIFF – Transylvania Film Festival, announces a partnership with TikTok for film lovers. Through a hashtag challenge, cinema enthusiasts on TikTok can win an invitation to a unique experience at Romania’s most anticipated film festival of the summer.
The Transylvania International Film Festival (June 17–26, 2022) announces a partnership with the TikTok platform to bring to the forefront Romanian content creators who are passionate about cinema and invite them to find inspiration at the country’s largest film event. The collaboration includes a hashtag challenge that will culminate in a special awards ceremony in Cluj-Napoca and a VFX Masterclass for teenagers led by Robert Tatoi as part of EducaTIFF.
Romanian TikTok users can participate in the TIFF 2022 challenge by using the hashtag #PovestitorulDeFilm, which could be translated as “The movie teller” in English. To participate, content creators must create a TikTok video clip of no more than one minute in length that tells or shows the action of a movie or series that they enjoyed creatively. The goal is not to reveal the film’s title or series but to encourage your fans to guess. The most creative and inspired two videos will be awarded a complete festival experience for two people, with all expenses covered, from June 23 to 26. A special awards ceremony will be held here, where the winning clips will be screened, and participants will have the opportunity to meet with the jury, film industry professionals, and TikTok representatives.
A jury comprised of Catalin Ionut (content creator with over 2 million followers), Mara Oprea (actress and content creator), and Carol Ionescu will select the winners (actor). The competition for #PovestitorulDeFilm is open until June 15. The TikTok platform contains complete details and regulations. TikTok will also be present in the festival’s educational section, EducaTIFF. Robert Tatoi, one of the country’s most acclaimed content creators and a visual effects expert, will hold a VFX Masterclass on Thursday, June 23, at 4:30 p.m., aimed solely at young content enthusiasts aged 16 to 18 years.
15 participants will be chosen, and registrations are made by filling out this form:
