The American company Fitbit, specialized in technological devices for fitness, realized a worldwide top of the impact of coronavirus on physical activity all over the world, and Romania is on the 4th place. It was compared the mobility (number of steps) of the first 12 weeks of the current year (until March 22) in comparison with data from the similar range of last year.
In March 2020, in Romania there was a -24% decrease in mobility, as opposed to March 2019. Spain (-38%), Italy (-25%) and Portugal (-25) were among the top places in the mobility decline. %).
According to the study carried out by Fitbit, in the European countries there was a “more dramatic decrease”, ranging from -7% to -38% of the number of steps.
