Romania draws at home with Iceland in a match in Group J for the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers. The game, played in Bucharest on Thursday night, ended 0-0. Romania is now in third, 1 point behind North Macedonia.

North Macedonia wins away against Armenia in the same group, now stepping one place in the rankings.

The last games are decisive for Romania. They have to beat Liechtenstein in a game to be played on Sunday, but also they need Iceland not to lose in North Macedonia.

After the last game, the second-place team enters the play-off, while the first place goes directly to the World Cup in Qatar. In Group J, Germany is already qualified, while North Macedonia and Romania still play for ranking second and enter the play-off.
