Romania Eases Restrictions From June 1

Romanian President Klaus Iohannis announced on Thursday, after a meeting with Prime Minister Ludovic Orban and several ministers of the cabinet, the relaxation measures starting from June 1 in Romania.

Thus, from June 1 it will be possible to go to the beach, but it will be necessary to keep the distance of 2 meters between the beach chairs.

International road and rail transport will be resumed. Also from June 1, outdoor shows with a number of up to 500 spectators will be possible, but they will be seated according to restrictions and epidemiological triage.

In addition, the restaurant terraces are reopening. However, it is clear that some very special measures are needed and these will be communicated in due time. Some of the rules will mention for restaurants tables to be placed 2 meters away and maximum 4 people at a table.

,,Travels outside towns, from June 1 will be permitted. There will be no need for a written declaration. Regarding the sports competitions, it will be possible to resume the sports competitions starting with June 1, but for the sports that are practiced outside.” declared President Klaus Iohannis.
