Ministry of Economy Invites Romanians to Be Ambassadors of the Romanian Tourism

Romanian Ministry of Economy, Energy and Business Environment, through the General Directorate of Tourism, launches the campaign “Be the ambassador of Romanian tourism!” , a digital challenge that aims to support the hospitality industry, hit hard this year, and thus encouraging Romanians to rediscover the beauty of Romania and to promote it online.

This year, the pandemic with the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 and implicitly the measures adopted to reduce its spread have affected many holiday plans, as well as the way we consume the tourist product. However, with the gradual resumption of activities in this field, Romanian authorities want to meet the need to travel, by promoting local tourist areas and objectives that could offer unique experiences, safe and close to home.

Be the ambassador of Romanian tourism!” is an invitation for all the travel agencies, local hospitality, and Romanian travel platforms to promote the beauty of Romania online.

I support Romanian tourism! This summer is about Romania. This year is about Romania. Let’s all be ambassadors of the Romanian tourism! Be an ambassador for the Romanian tourism, too! ”, was the urge of the Minister of Economy, Energy and Business Environment, Virgil-Daniel Popescu at the opening of the campaign.

The messages in support of Romanian tourism will be published in video format on the social media channels of the Ministry of the Economy. Later during the week, personalities from various fields of activity will tell what are their favorite destinations in Romania and which one they have chosen for the next vacation. The challenge is open to all those who want to support Romanian tourism and thus, to be ambassadors of the much loved places, which they want to rediscover.
