Moldova’s Prime Minister, Maia Sandu, arrived in Bucharest on Tuesday morning and was received by the President of Romania, Klaus Iohannis, at the Cotroceni Palace. This is her first official visit abroad since becoming head of the Government in Chisinau.
President Klaus Iohannis said it is very important and symbolic that the Government of the Republic of Moldova chose our country for the first official visit abroad. “I am happy and honored to return to Bucharest, this time as Prime Minister. It is my first official bilateral visit after taking office. Our country needs a good partnership with Romania as we are bound by a historical background. I would also like to thank the Romanian authorities and the Romanian citizens once again for their support. I assure that the new milestones fixed today will contribute to our collaboration, “said Maia Sandu.
