The Day Of Romanians Everywhere 2020

Each year, the last Sunday of each May, Romanians celebrate The Day Of Romanians Everywhere. This year, the anniversary is celebrated on Sunday, May 31.

This anniversary brought so many Romanians back home, because of COVID-19 pandemic. Estimations show that 1.3 million Romanians entered the country since the start of the pandemic, making the Romanian population living within the national borders to reach around 20.7 million.

Last year, the number of the Romanians living abroad was estimated to be up to 9.7 million people, from which 5.6 million being Diaspora. This means that, throughout the world, there are around 29 million Romanians.
