Romanian Premier: State Sells Bitcoin as Frozen Asset in Auction

For the first time in its history, Romanian state sells Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH). This follows a court’s decision as the virtual coins were frozen assets in a criminal file.

The court decided that the virtual coins to be sold in auction and, if you are interested, all you have to do is to register for the auction. Of course, you also have to prove you have a virtual wallet on a proper crypto platform, for the virtual coins to be transferred to your wallet in case you won.

A BTC is around 9,000 EUR and an ETH is around 300 EUR and it is expected the auction prices to be much lower. Still, the Romanian state hasn’t mentioned how many virtual coins are to be sold during the auction.
