Coronavirus: Anti-Mask Protest in Bucharest

Hundreds gathered in Bucharest to protest against the mandatory wearing of masks in schools. The protesters ask for the kids not to be forced to wear the mask. Also, they request the immediate ceasing of all the nazi-type and communist-type reeducation measures taken by the Romanian Government against the younger generation.

The organizers of the protest say there is no evidence of any risk to the kids’ health if contracting the Coronavirus.

The crowd shouts for freedom and waves the national flags. They symbolically chose Universitate Square as the gathering place. Here is where, in 1989, the Romanian people fought for the freedom against the communist regime.

Romania exceeded recently 100,000 Covid-19 infected persons and the daily average of the new infection cases is above 1,500.
