Romanian Dairy Producer ‘Lăptăria cu Caimac’ Attracts EUR 3 M Through Private Placement

Lăptăria cu Caimac, the Romanian dairy producer, concluded a private bond placement brokered by BT Capital Partners.

The initial offer of 20,000 unsecured and non-convertible bonds, with a nominal value of 100 euros, has been supplemented. The investment was subscribed by 94 investors. Thus, a total of 3 million euros were attracted at an interest rate of 5.25%. This is the lowest financing cost obtained in 2020 for similar bond offers.

“We are pleased to have successfully assisted  Lăptăria cu Caimac into this process of raising capital, which provides financing for the company’s ambitious development plans. We are also pleased that we have been able to facilitate investors’ access to unique investment opportunities and, despite this challenging period, we continue to contribute to the development of the business environment.”

Daniela Secara, General Manager of BT Capital Partners

Lăptăria cu Caimac aims for the first trading on the Multilateral System of the Bucharest Stock Exchange to take place within a month.

In the context in which 14 products of the company have already arrived on the German market, and the demand in the country is increasing, the obtained funds will be used for the development of the factory, for the expansion of the production section and for the construction of a new warehouse. Moreover, by the fall of 2021, two more new product categories will be launched.

Lăptăria cu Caimac will make two other investments during this period: the construction of a biogas plant and a system for the recovery and reuse of glass. The estimated investments amount to 16 million euros.

“We have had an alert pace of development so we are constantly exploring new sources of funding. We want all 3 investment projects to materialize and help us grow. We have already written the project for the bottle washing station and we have registered for its evaluation in order to finance it, and our hopes are that in 2021 we will start the construction of the packaging washing station. Also, in 2022 we hope to start the construction of the biogas plant and thus, in 2024 the company will be on a straight path, towards a carbon neutral company”.

Adrian Cocan, project manager of Lăptaria cu Caimac

In 2019, Lăptaria cu Caimac registered a net turnover of over EUR 8 million.
