Women Handball: Romania Beats Austria 38-29, Qualifies for European Championship in November

Cristina Neagu was exceptional in Romania’s decisive game played on Sunday, April 24, in Ramnicu Valcea against Austria. The home team beats Austria 38-29 (19-23) and goes to the Women’s Handball Championship in November 2022. Romania drew in the first match in Austria, 33-33.

Romania ended its group second with 7 points, behind Denmark, undefeated.

This year’s European Championship is organized by Slovenia, North Macedonia, and Montenegro between 4-20 November.

Romania is at its 14th participation in the final tournament.
