The Profile Of Romanians Diagnosed With COVID-19

The average age of patients diagnosed so far in Romania with the new coronavirus is 43 years old, the highest percentage being represented by people between the ages of 19 and 50 (61%).

According to the Strategic Communication Group, those between the ages of 51 and 69 represent 28% of the cases of illness, and those over 70 – 5%. Also, 3% are minors, 54% – women, and 43% – men.

Of the 906 people confirmed positive for the new coronavirus, 14 patients (2%) were between 0 and 9 years old; 22 patients (2%) are between 10 and 19 years old; 99 patients (11%) – between 20 and 29 years old; 198 patients (22%) – between 30 and 39 years old; 232 patients (26%) – between 40 and 49 years old.

Also, 168 patients (18%) are between 50 and 59 years old; 96 patients (11%) – between 60 and 69 years, 49 patients (5%) – between 70 and 79 years, and 3 patients are over 80 years old. The average age of death from the disease is 70 years, and so far 13 people have died of Covid 19 in Romania.
