On the night of September 29 to 30, Russian forces executed a new series of attacks on some targets in Ukraine. According to a press release of the Romanian Ministry of Defence, this was when the Romanian Army detected a possible penetration of the Romanian Space.

Following the detection of groups of drones heading toward Ukrainian territory near the border with Romania, the Ministry of National Defense alerted the forces in the Air Police Service and notified, starting at 22:38, the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations regarding the establishment of emergency measures alerting the population of Tulcea and Galați counties.

The radar surveillance system of the Romanian Army indicated a possible unauthorized penetration into the national airspace, with a signal detected on a route to the city of Galați.
