Romanian Software Producer Oves Enterprise Opens Office in Germany

OVES Enterprise, a software development business based in Cluj-Napoca, has opened its first office outside of Romania, in Munich, Germany, as part of an international expansion strategy that intends to have a presence in five countries by the end of the year: Germany, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and Spain.

According to a statement transmitted by company representatives and the Romanian-German Chamber of Trade and Industry AHK, Oves Enterprise, with a turnover of about 14 million EUR in 2021, will extend its team by about 60 people this year on the occasion of the opening of the new office in Munich.

Currently, we have 20 clients outside Romania, 10 of them in Germany. Hence the desire to set up an office in Munich. Also, 80% of last year’s turnover was generated by businesses from abroad. With the international expansion, we estimate that the share will be increased to 95%.

Mihai Filip, CEO of Oves Enterprise

This year, OVES Enterprise’s growth ambitions include doubling the number of personnel to support the company’s international expansion and participation in increasingly complicated projects. As a result, the team will grow from 68 members in 2021 to 130 by the end of 2022.

The German-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Romania) supports investments in Germany by free consulting and intermediating contacts.

We noticed that the Romanian companies are increasingly interested and have the potential to become active in foreign markets, and we can only cheer this. We provide the necessary support for exchanging experience and provide useful information for developing a profitable business.

Sebastian Metz, general manager, AHK Romania
