Defcamp #10 Bucharest – One of the Biggest International Hacking & Information Security Conference

Defcamp Bucharest, one of the biggest international hacking and information security conferences in Europe, has reached its 10th edition.

This year, Defcamp will gather more than 2000 ethical hacking and security specialists from more than 40 countries, but also will offer 15 specific competitions for the specialists to battle for interesting prizes.

Defcamp #10 Bucharest also offer the attendees a surprise: for the first time ever, a half Romanian, half American schoolgirl will be on the stage on the 7th of November. She is only 12 years old and her community nickname is BiaSciLab. Her specialty? Ethical hacking, no doubt about it. As she stated for our publication, she is one of the first to hack into an election reporting system that was set up for the kids to hack into at DEF CON. The technique she used was SQL injection. This is the same technique that hackers used to break into a US election system. This work was highlighted at a congressional hearing where the congressmen spoke about what she did.
