Dacia Increased Sales in Europe up to 7% in Q1

On March 2021, Dacia reported a massive increase of 64.7% in the registrations’ number in Europe. According to the Association of European Car Manufacturers (ACEA), it reached 34.200 units.

In the first quarter there was a tremendous annual growth of 6.9%. Due to its increase in sales, Dacia managed to increase its market share as well.

To make you understand, in the first quarter of 2020, 2.7% of all car buyers among Europe choose to buy Dacia. This year, in the first quarter, there was an increase of 0.2%, leading to 2.9% of Dacia buyers. Other brands with similar market share are: Nissan (2.5%), Volvo (2.9%) and Seat(3.3%).

The surprising part is that well-known brands like Mazda, Honda, Jeep, Mini, Alfa Romeo, Land Rover, Smart and Mitsubishi have a lower market share compared to Dacia.

According to the Association of European Car Manufacturers (ACEA), the European car market has seen a growth of 0.9% ( 3.080.751) in the first quarter of 2021.
