Extraordinary measures announced by the Romanian Government on Sunday March 8: all the flights from and towards Italy and other Coronavirus affected countries, including China, Iran and South Korea, are suspended for 14 days. The measures are enforced starting from Monday, March 9.
Also, all the people coming from the selected affected countries will enter compulsory quarantine when arriving in Romania. The quarantine will be instated for the people coming from Italy or other affected countries in the border county and not at home. The measure is available for the people travelling by bus or by car coming from Italy, which thus won’t be able to finish their journey to their homes.
Romanians from Diaspora are advised to stay in the countries where they live at present. The acting PM, Mr. Ludovic Orban, asked last week Romanians who live in Italy not to come to Romania.
