According to a study of Pitchinvasion, the hospitality industry in Bucharest, including hotels, restaurants, and sports bars, will make 3.6 million Euros this summer, following the organization in Bucharest of four games from the UEFA EURO 2020 final tournament.
According to the same source, the sum would’ve been even four times higher if it wasn’t for the pandemic. Yet, the money is good for an industry that has been put into great difficulty by the interdictions.
UEFA EURO 2020 is to be held between June 11 and July 11. The championship was postponed from last year and it is organized in 11 European cities, for the first time in history. Also, for the first time in history, one of the organizers’ teams, namely Romania, is not qualified for the tournament.
According to the rules of access to the National Arena in Bucharest, the fans should match a series of conditions to be allowed to the stadium. Even so, if you cannot make it to the pitch, you can always go to one of the Bucharest restaurants and sports bars where you can watch the games and drink a pint of local or international beer with your friends.
Apart from that, when going to Bucharest, one can always visit Romania’s Capital in the leisure time between games. Enjoy your stay!
