The first Romanian food stores under the brand name “Unirea” will be opened at the beginning of October. They will be controlled by the Unirea Agro-Food Trade Center, a state-owned company established by the Ministry of Agriculture.
It is a project supported with over 100 million euros, for investments in a national system that ensures the acquisition, sorting, primary processing, standardization and distribution to the domestic commercial or export networks of the Romanian agricultural products.
The trade house will attract the regulated and supervised economic circuit to the farmers and the associations will be stimulated. Therefore, healthy products are provided to the population, with guarantees regarding the source and compliance with the legal norms. It should also be mentioned that the program complies with the strategic directions of the Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union.
