Romania intends to increase its authorized capital held at the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) by US $ 21.246 million, according to a draft law posted on the website of the Ministry of Public Finance (MFP).
According to the document, Romania’s contribution to the increase of the IBRD capital will implicitly contribute to the increase of the resources that the institution can allocate to grant financing to our country.
Participation in the IBRD capital increase also favors the level of support provided by Romania for development, Romania strengthening in the last years its international profile in development cooperation as a dynamic emerging donor.
