Romania decided to increase the work visa quota for 2021. The unprecedented decision comes as the number of job offers posted by the employers on the recruiting platforms doesn’t meet the proper application volume.
This is why the Romanian Government decided to allot a supplementary quota for 2021, increasing it from 25,000 to 50,000 by the end of the year. This is an opportunity for employers to recruit personnel from abroad, especially in fields like agriculture, hospitality, or retail.
Thanks to this decision, we are now able to fulfill more demands from our clients. There is a shortage of workers, especially in hospitality, and the previous work visa quota limited the number of foreigners coming to Romania. Now, we can fill in this gap by bringing workers from Asian countries to Romania. This way, lots of Romanian companies will be able to cope with the difficulties generated by the pandemic crisis. The services we and all the other recruiting agencies offer to the local companies literally help them survive.

This increase in the work visa quota is unprecedented for Romania, a country known for becoming more attractive to the Asian working force. Apart from being a member of the European Union, the Asian people find it, upon arrival, as a civilized, quiet, and secure location for them to work, live and even bring their families here. This is what makes Romania one of the target destinations for citizens from Vietnam, Nepal, or the Philippines.
