In June, Romanian biggest retailer eMAG opened its first showroom in Budapest, Hungary. At that time the retailer’s representatives promised there would be more showrooms abroad as Budapest was just the first step outside Romania.
Now they show they kept their promise: eMAG opens its first showroom in Bulgaria, a market they were present from 2012. It seems the expansion is just at the beginning and it could be a sign the retailer wants to conquer the whole Eastern Europe in a short time.
Opening showrooms, especially during this economic crisis, could seem like a risky move, especially for a successful online retailer. But we know eMAG did their homework for sure and if they considered opening showrooms, it means they have a clear goal behind this move.
