Launched exactly 4 years ago, Bucharest City App, created as a platform and a mobile app, has got more than 80 K users who downloaded the mobile app and used it to see the Bucharest attractions, such as touristic objectives and interesting events, but also places to eat or to spend your leisure time.

The interesting fact about the app is that it was accessed by both foreigners and locals alike, which speaks a lot about the quality of its content.

The price of the transaction was not revealed by the two parts, but Orange already announced in Romanian mass-media that the app will go through a process of re-branding and reorganization of content.

According to official sources, Bucharest has recorded more than 1,7 million foreign tourists in 2019 and thus the travel platforms are quite appreciated by the Bucharest city dwellers and by the foreigners. Recently, one of the Romanian travel app, namely Questo, has been awarded at the Disruptive Hospitality section in the second edition of Tourism Startup contest held by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).

Another Bucharest travel platform which promotes Bucharest city throughout the world is Visit Bucharest Today!, one of the most promising start-ups in the field and whom we bet on on the long term to become one of the most accessed travel platforms to promote Bucharest as a hidden gem of Europe.
