Klaus Werner Iohannis is the winner of the second round of the Romanian presidential elections, held on the 24th of November 2019. He is to continue his first 5 year mandate as the Romanian president with the second mandate, up until 2024.
The exit polls show he’s got more than 67% of the votes, which means Romanians voted for continuity,
Viorica Dancila, the runner up, already accepted defeat and has to confront her own party, the Social Democratic Party, whose president she is.
