Romania – Norway was a game which was supposed to be played on an empty stadium, as Romanian Football Federation was to serve a ban for its supporters’ inadequate behavior in the past. Yet, the European Federation granted Romania permission to invite kids to the game, as a concession.
Romanian Football Federation mobilized a record number of 30.000 kids who cheerfully supported the national team as they played against Norway.
Unfortunately for the Romanian kids who were present on the stadium on Tuesday, their favorites were equaled in the extra time, in 90+2 min by one of the Norway strikers.
Romania – Norway 1-1, but the great atmosphere during the game paid for everything else.
CONGRATULATIONS, Romanian kids! You served a lesson of civilization to the adult supporters whose behavior brought this ban for the national team.
