The fire engulfed the main building, where 26 adults and kids were sleeping after the private Christmas party they had just attended the previous evening. Local media say the owner of the complex and his entire family, including his wife and kids, were within the premises when the fire broke out. Also, first reports say he might have lost some of his family members during the tragic event, but the information has not been confirmed yet.

The tragedy occurred at a traditional pension built as an old farm. The buildings inside the complex were built mainly from wood and reed, and firefighters said no fire authorization was released for that location. The materials favored the fire expanding rapidly from one building to another until the whole complex was engulfed in flames.

The location was between hills, so it was popular among tourists, locals and foreigners who wanted to escape to nature during weekends and holidays. This is why 60 firefighters rushed to the scene, but unfortunately, by the moment they arrived at the farm, the fire already affected the whole complex.

This event reminds everyone of some recent similar events in Romania, where fire broke out at restaurants, malls or residential complexes, all in December.
