This is a huge disappointment for the SAGA Festival fans and for her Romanian fans as well. Her decision comes after Hardwell decided to cancel his show on stage on the first day of the festival, angry with him for not getting paid and accusing the low quality of the sound equipment.

Yet, Nicki’s decision is controversial and she either has to fire her security detail or her PR team. Bucharest is quiet and a lot safer than London or any other American city she will have concerts in as a mother.

Hardwell left the stage after this announcement, and the SAGA Festival had to cope with another major PR issue. This happens after this week, Bucharest’s General Mayor announced he is suing SAGA Festival for not paying bills to the Municipality after last year’s show on National Arena.

SAGA Festival representatives posted a message on social media accounts addressing Hardwell’s disappointment., basically saying that other artists used the same equipment and didn’t complain.

This scandal casts a shadow over one of the major Bucharest Festivals, and this is not beneficial for the city or for festivalgoers.

This is the third time the band returns to Romania. The concert is part of the European Tour to promote DM’s latest album, Memento Mori, but the band will also play the songs that made it famous.

The Memento Mori tour will be Depeche Mode’s 19th and first in over five years. As reported by Visit Bucharest, access to the concert area will not be allowed with: drinks and food products purchased from outside the premises, bottles (including perfume bottles of any quantity, any other bottles, deodorants, etc.), plastic cans, aluminum cans, cans, fireworks, stick banners, sprays, lasers, chairs, guns, blunt objects, chains, umbrellas, pets, rucksacks, motorcycle helmets, bulky luggage larger than an A4 sheet, selfie sticks, professional cameras, audio-video recording devices of any kind or GoPro devices.

Access will be allowed in the concert area with compact cameras, lighters, medicines (any such products are only allowed if they are accompanied by a prescription, medical letter or any other document replacing it with a maximum of one daily dose), insulin, asthma inhaler spray.

For the safety of the public and the smooth running of the event, the participants are also asked to submit to a thorough body control at the request of the security agents.

Recording of any performance is strictly prohibited. The artist’s management can confiscate any audio-video recording device used in this way owned by the event participants, informs the cited source.

The access of children under 12 to the concert is not recommended due to the loud sound. But if the parents choose to accompany the little ones, they will do so at their own risk, purchasing access tickets for them as well. The use of protective headphones or earplugs is recommended for children. The organizers will not provide protective helmets or earplugs. An adult must accompany minors, say the organizers.

On the premises of the National Arena, the spectators will have at their disposal alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, water, coffee, ice cream and food trucks. All drinks will be served by the glass only. Products can be purchased with cash or bank card at all bars, but due to the large number of participants present at the location, card payments may experience delays.

The famous violinist David Garrett, the artist who entered the Guinness Book of World Records as one of the fastest violinists in the world, fascinates the stages of the world in concerts held in the framework of the „ICONIC” 2023 tour promoting the latest classical music material and will climb the stage of the Roman Arenas in Bucharest.

About a year ago, David Garrett became the owner of a Guarneri del Gesù violin manufactured in 1734 in Cremona by the luthier Bartolomeo Giuseppe Guarnerius, its value being 3.5 million euros. The eccentric artist gave up one of his New York homes to purchase this valuable instrument.
David Garrett gave himself this present on his birthday when he turned 42 years old and will accompany him on the stage of the Roman Arenas in the concert on August 18.

I am particularly pleased to present my new violin on the Roman Arena in Bucharest stage: a Guarneri del Gesù from 1734, once owned by the great virtuoso Gaetano Pugnani. One of the main reasons I purchased this wonderful instrument, which had not been used for a long time, was this tour – so that I could show it to you.

The sound of a Guarneri violin can express all vulnerability and fragility, all that is human – whereas a Stradivarius always sounds somewhat superhuman. Especially with my current repertoire – „ICONIC”, which is full of strong emotions and feelings, that fragile human touch is much more important to me than the superhuman sound of a Stradivarius. That’s why I think my new Guarneri del Gesù violin is perfect for ‘ICONIC’ concerts – and I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoy playing it.

While tourism can benefit local communities or countries, mass tourism damages the city. Places are overcrowded, large queues everywhere, from tourist attractions to restaurants or public transport, and locals are unhappy. The very proof is the walls in Spanish cities, covered with hate graffiti, telling tourists to go home or to leave the city alone.

“Tourists go home” is only one of the slogans used to protest against mass tourism, but others can not be published here.

This is when Electric Castle, one of the most appreciated festivals in Romania, entered the spotlight. Their PR team hijacked all the messages on the wall and asked locals to join the efforts in sending tourists to Romania.

Basically, the Electric Castle team registered the domain touristsgo.ro. Then, they registered all the domains corresponding to the slogans on the walls and redirected them to touristsgo.ro. Then, they campaigned among the locals to popularize this movement by simply displaying touristsgo.ro on their T-shirts and the entrance to their shops or restaurants.

Not only that but stickers with .RO were distributed to locals, and they were encouraged to place one sticker at the end of any slogan on the wall, such as for anybody searching for that slogan to understand that it is a website. When searching online, tourists are redirected to the main website, encouraging users to learn more about the Electric Castle and Romania as a country.

As a comparison, while Barcelona suffocates each summer, Bucharest is relatively quiet and welcoming. Bucharest could be a travel destination for worldwide tourists, and Bucharest attractions could prove equally attractive to those who haven’t yet been to this part of Europe.
