I live in Buzău County, where there are virtually no good hotels or restaurants by Western European standards. Romanians live under the illusion that their traditional cuisine (samale, mici and ciorba) are exceptional, enticing dishes. In reality, Romania has one of the most boring and unappetising cuisines in the whole of Europe.
